About St. Michael's High School
Welcome to St. Michael’s High School—Santa Fe, New Mexico’s oldest educational institution. Founded in 1859 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, St. Michael’s continues to adhere to the venerable Lasallian Tradition, which emphasizes a high quality education for all who seek it.
We operate “together and by association”—together with the Christian Brothers and by association with the many Lasallian Partners who work in service of the Lasallian mission—according to the five core principles established by the founder, John Baptist de La Salle:
- Faith in the Presence of God
- Respect for all Persons
- Quality Education
- Concern for the Poor and Social Justice
- Inclusive Community.
St. Michael’s is co-educational and offers seventh through twelfth grades. Approximately 70 percent of our students identify as Catholic. We are centrally located on a 25-acre campus on Siringo Road, a few blocks east of St. Francis Drive.
St. Michael's High School is accredited by AdvancED and the State of New Mexico Department of Education.
